So, to help the Growatt solar inverter owners out there, we have put together a list of common faults and error codes that you may see when your solar inverter and solar system isn’t working as it should be.
If you see any of these faults or would like further information regarding your Growatt solar inverter, give Static Electrics a call today on 1300 206 004 and we can assist.
Solar systems are not a new concept when it comes to energy production, however, they are becoming more and more popular throughout Australia as time goes on. With their eco-friendly approach and the potential for lower electricity bills, solar power systems are an increasingly common choice for homes and businesses. However, just like anything, they can have a few errors pop up occasionally.
Growatt Inverter Warning Messages
Warning messages will be designated as a (W) on your inverter, followed by a number – otherwise known as a Warning Code. They do not directly relate to a fault and can generally be cleared through a shutdown and restart, or the inverter will re-balance the system itself.
|No AC Connection||Utility grid is not connected or there is a utility grid power failure||Check the AC wiring and then contact Growatt.|
|AC F Outrange||Utility grid frequency is out of permissible range.||Check grid frequency and if the error message is still visible and the grid frequency is within range, contact Growatt.|
|AC V Outrange||Utility grid voltage is out of permissible range.||Check grid voltage and if the error message is still visible and the grid voltage is within range, contact Growatt|
|Over Temperature||The temperature is out of the appropriate range.||Check the inverter operation state and if the error message is still showing, contact Growatt.|
|PV Isolation Low||An insulation problem is occuring||Check if your solar panel enclosure and inverter are grounded properly, as well as check if the DC breaker is wet. If the error message is still showing after checks, contact Growatt.|
|PV Voltage High||The DC input voltage is exceeding the maximum tolerable value||The DC switch must be disconnected immediately.|
|Output High DCI||The output current DC offset is too high||Restart your inverter and if the error message is still showing, contact Growatt.|
|Residual I High||Leakage current too high||Restart your inverter and if the error message is still showing, contact Growatt.|
|Auto Test Failed||Auto test was not passed||Restart your inverter and if the error message is still showing, contact Growatt.|
