Electrician came down for inspection (they gave me a 4hrs time window to wait!) and upon inspection the technician (nice person) said okay to quote the job to be done another day (they said while booking the job that the job will be done same day if quotation is accepted). They could not quote any finally - it was about an installation of a 32v power outlet for charging electric vehicle. Technician could not explain why things changed from first inspection. No quote finally received. Day wasted.AFTER THE REPLY OF SESC on 16th: your technician was indicating something $2200, which is ridiculous! The car dealer is doing this now for $132.00, yes, about 5% of your quote . You didn't want to do it, or you didn't know what the task was?

I live in Upper Caboolture and I bought a new solar panel system from Static Electrics in July 2021. I had them service and clean the panels in June 2022 at a cost of $328.90 then again in June 2023 at a cost of $389. When I called on 13th June 2024 to book the same yearly clean and inspection that I'd had done for the last 2 years, the receptionist asked if they'd done this before. I said yes in June last year. She said they have installed a new system since then so they don't have the previous history of their customers. I booked for them to come on 24th June but I was not given a quote at that time. The receptionist called me on the 18th June to say they'd have to reschedule my booking to the 2nd July due to the electrician's wife having gone into early labour. Today the electrician arrived, but it wasn't the fellow that was originally booked. He told me that it would cost $539 but that was just to have them cleaned. I was shocked at the $150 increase in the price and this was just for a clean, not the inspection as well. However, because it was raining lightly he said he wouldn't clean the panels...he only inspected the inverter. He suggested that I get the panels cleaned in another 12 months...without even getting up to have a look at them to see if they needed to be cleaned now. He then suggested that I take out membership which is cheaper overall and comes with other benefits and I could pay that either monthly or as a lump payment. I didn't want to do the monthly payment so I said I'd pay the full payment. He then said that payment would be for NEXT YEAR'S clean and service. While he contacted the office to organise an invoice I began thinking "why am I having to pay NOW for next year." He then came back to me and told me that the office told him that I can't do the full payment...I would have to do the monthly payment. I declined the membership and said I would not be rebooking. Having been a customer of this company for 3 years, I was not impressed with the customer service to the point they have now lost my business and I won't be recommending their business to anyone else. Their slogan says this: "At Static Electrics, we are passionate about our work and offer a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee on every job. From the initial booking, through to the completion of the job, we will take pride in every step of the process." They either need a new slogan or a new approach to how they treat their customers if they want to be proud of the service they offer.

I can speak highly of the technician who came out as he seemed both professional and knowledgeae but the quote was legitimately double what other companies offered. I also never received it in email format as I asked.. so I suppose shop around would be my advice to others although I am sure this company does provide a quality service

So I have Solar and it was installed in 2011 and I have noticed quiite a decrease in the kW sent to the grid recently, so I decided to get a Maintenance Check and possible clean. I decided on Static Electrics because of the reviews I had seen and the fact they are a Family run business. Well today Bailey came to visit, asked to have a look at a recent electricity bill and then started to ask me some questions. After discussions with him and the fact he went on the roof and found out there was delamination of my panels which causes the panels to send power to the roof rather than back to the Inverter and that is why my FIT to the grid had dropped so much. Bailey's honesty and committment to making sure I understood everything he said was wonderful as I am sick of people talking at me and expecting me to understand the technical side of things - he (Bailey) didn't do this he spoke to me and explained things and didn't make me feel like I ws asking dumb questions and, he answered them. In summary we discussed a new system and when I mentioned warranty he mentioned that most Company's only offer 10 Years on the Panels but 25 years on the Performance, but whilst he was here I decided to contact the Company who manufacture the Panels and they agreed to Warranty, so thanks to Bailey I am able to get Warranty as he spoke with the Manufacturer whilst here and that way all the questions were answered directly between him and them - no muss no fuss - what a dream to be able to deal with someone that knows what they are doing.You know Static Electrics is now my go to Electrical Company for all my needs, as long as you send Bailey lol :). Bailey from Statics Electrics was fabulous looking into replacement of our solar system. He took the time to investigate if the existing system could be repaired (which it couldn’t) and options to replace including keeping our high feed-in tariff balanced against putting a bigger system in with a lower feed-in tariff. Hi everyoneI would like to share an amazing story with you about my family’s experience with this company.I ordered an aircon to be installed for my sister who is bedridden as the aged one we had stopped working. When Jack the technician arrived to do the installation he tested our old one and replaced the batteries in the remote. And away it went. 🙄 Jack gave us the option of going with the new or hang onto the old one. His opinion was that we leave it. Which we did.We offered to pay for his travel and time but he said he didn’t think the company would charge. And they never did.Unfortunately the old girl really chucked it in last week and so of course I rang Static Electrics. A week later Jamie another technician arrived and installed the system.I unfortunately only got to speak to Jamie My sister Marilyn was so impressed with him.
